Prince Philip and Fergie pose together after 20-year-old 'feud', all thanks to Eugenie’s wedding
On Friday, Princess Eugenie’s wedding brought together Prince Philip and her mother Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson. The two haven’t been in the same room for more than two decades.
The two started feuding when Ferguson became involved in a scandal and ended up divorcing Philip's son, Prince Andrew. At Eugenie’s wedding, the two were obligated to take pictures together with family.
Princess Eugenie’s wedding was about her and this meant Prince Philip, 97, had to pose in pictures with her mother, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson. Their more than 20-year feud didn’t keep the bride’s mother from standing slightly behind the left shoulder of her former father-in-law.
The Royal family photos were taken in the White Drawing Room at Windsor Castle. Philip was once very fond of Ferguson.

The scandal involved images of Texan millionaire John Bryan kissing and sucking Ferguson’s toes in France in 1992. She and the Duke of York subsequently divorced in 1996.
Despite this, the Duke and Duchess of York continued to live together at the Royal Lodge. They do, however, live in separate apartments.
Prince Philip was alleged to have prevented other Royals from bailing Ferguson out during periods of financial difficulties. He was rumored to be struggling to comprehend the continued closeness between her and his son.
Ferguson was reported to have been quite tense as she sat in front of her former father-in-law. Philip played his part well and showed no sign of resentment towards her at the ceremony.
The family photo with both Philip and Ferguson was the first one featuring them together in 26 years. Prince Andrew and his ex-wife don’t have any bad blood at all.
The pair often makes joint appearances together. They also feature frequently on each other’s Instagrams.
Princess Eugenie has said this about her parents:
“They’re the best divorced couple I know.”
