Beyoncé stuns in sparkling angelic gown at City of Hope gala

There are absolutely no rest days for superstars like Beyonce, who went straight to perform at the "City of Hope" gala in Los Angeles right after wrapping up her "On The Run II" tour with her husband, Jay-Z.

The Carters are on a roll, as just a few days after wrapping up their sold-out tour, Beyonce went on to do a three-song set during the City of Hope gala last Thursday night.

Of course, wherever Queen Bey goes, Jay-Z goes, too. While he did not perform on that day, he did introduce Platt, who was given a "Spirit of Life" honor, whom Jay introduced as his "brother" and the "Obama of the music industry".

Meanwhile, for her performance, Beyonce stunned in a shimmering gown, which featured a thigh-high slit and frilly off-shoulder straps. Performing in front of a crowd of 1,200, the former Destiny's Child member looked angelic as she sang "XO", "Perfect", and "Halo".

Just last week, Beyonce and Jay-Z said goodbye to their "On The Run II" tour, and the singer chose to end her concert run with a "thank you" post to those who have supported her along the way.

Although she has been reported to have a bad relationship with her father due to his infidelity to his ex-wife of more than three decades Tina Knowles-Lawson, Beyonce proved that this was all fake news as she posted a photo hugging her dad while backstage.

Of course, being the stage mom that she is, Tina also shared a photo of her and her ex-husband sandwiching their daughter with kisses, which proves that the relationship between the two families is very good and amicable, too.
