Prince Harry & Meghan Markle receive first official baby gifts during royal tour in Australia
Soon-to-be Royal parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received their first official baby gift since announcing their big news.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex commenced their Australian tour on Monday, a few hours after announcing they’ll be expecting a baby. They were treated to a reception at the Admiralty House in Sydney, Australia by the Governor General Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lady Lynne Cosgrove.
The hosts presented the royal couple with a fluffy stuffed kangaroo carrying its baby joey, and a pair of sheepskin mini Ugg booties, which Harry said were “awesome.”

Meghan was heard expressing her delight as she gushed in People Magazine’s live Facebook feed:
“That’s so cute, it’s our first baby gift!”
The Australian outing also included a visit to the Taronga Zoo where the couple received more gifts that Meghan assured would go "in the nursery."
As part of their tour itinerary, the Duke and Duchess have so far visited the Opera House and taken time to interact with fans who lined the street in anticipation of their arrival.
Meghan also made news with her outfit choice for the reception. Besides flaunting her baby bump in a white sleeveless dress created by an Australian designer, the former actress paid tribute to her late mother-in-law with her jewelry selection.
