White woman calls the police on Black dad for cheering on his son playing football in viral video
A white woman reported a black father to the cops while watching his child's football game for allegedly yelling at a referee when he was actually just trying to cheer on his son.
During the football game, a white woman was disturbed by a black man yelling, and so she decided to call the cops on him. While she claims that he was trying to cause a fight by yelling at the referee, the man, and other people watching the game, ensured the cops that he was actually just trying to cheer on his son.
Two other women who were at the match in Florida took videos and posted about the troublesome incident on Facebook, including photos of the white woman, a field marshal, who called the police on the man. She was seen sitting on a blue golf cart, and so people nicknamed her "Golfcart Gail".
According to a woman named Ginger Galore Williams who also had a son playing at the game,
"A parent at my son's soccer game had the police called on him for cheering for his son during the game."
The anonymous father yelled "The ref is right!" when he saw that his kid was getting angry over a call, but "Golfcart Gail" heard wrong and took offense at what he had said.
“[She] decided to spring into action and rapidly approach this parent and remind him that harassment would not be tolerated. He informed her that he was only speaking to his son.”
When the dad offered to leave the scene with his wife to avoid trouble, the woman informed him that she had already called the cops because she didn't feel safe after his "threatening behavior".
“This man was peacefully leaving his own son’s soccer game to avoid exactly this situation. Shame on you Golfcart Gail for what you did to this man and to the children who had to see this. Can you imagine how afraid his child must have been to see this happening?!”

Another woman named Maria Morale-Walther was also able to record the scene, saying that there was no aggression from the part of the dad at all, but heard the field marshal telling the sheriff's deputy that she feared for herself and the children.
In the end, the cops didn't detain the dad and instead they were able to diffuse the situation properly.
