Husband does not come home and wife stumbles upon scene in his office that moved her to tears

Chellie Heckman, the wife of Jason Heckman, took to Facebook to share what she found when she went to her husband’s office after he didn’t come home from work.

In the post, Chellie revealed that Jason worked as a supervisor at the Department of Family and Children's Services (DFACS), which is an extremely unpopular job, according to her.

She revealed that Jason is often treated as a messenger of bad news who can never be trusted. People usually avoid being with any member of the DFACS, lie to them, and don’t cooperate although all they do is try to help children.

WORRIED ABOUT JASON

Apart from being psychologically draining, Jason’s job is also physically demanding as he often has to take extra shifts, something that doesn’t make a relevant impact on his payment at the end of the month. Knowing that his husband would take every chance he got to take a break from his job, Chellie was surprised when he didn’t come home from work.

Worried, the proud wife paid a visit to Jason’s office. As soon as she arrived, she saw something that moved her to tears. Her first reaction was photographing what he was doing, and she uploaded that image, along with the story, on social media.

HEART MELTING PICTURE

In the photo, a clearly exhausted Jason appeared napping with his legs on a chair in front of him while holding a child on his chest. Chellie’s picture portrayed the “love and compassion” that DFACS workers give and goes unnoticed most of the times.

“After taking this baby into the care of the state, in the process of placing him into foster care, he had to stay after hours and return to pick him back up before hours. Being away from family and familiar faces, the baby was kinda [sic] fussy and so he was soothing him and well, needless to say, they had a special moment. His focus was to make sure this baby was cared for and felt safe,” said Chellie.

PRAISING HER HUSBAND’S JOB

The woman continued saying that Jason and the rest of the workers do a thankless and fulfilling job that not everybody would be willing to do. Even knowing so, people don’t recognize them for that.

ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL ACT

Jason is not the only person who has taken care of a child while working. A policeman in Mahbubnagar in Telangana was photographed consoling a baby after his mother was taking the recruitment exam.

Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, the head constable officer of Moosapet police station, was the one who took care of the child, who seemed to be captivated by Mujeeb’s gestures as he was not crying.

PEOPLE’S REACTION

As soon as that photo went viral, people took to social media to praise the officer for such kind act. One of them pointed out that the world needed policemen like him who, despite all the problems he might be going through, he took his time to help someone.

News 18 reported that Mujeed was on duty for conducting the exam in Boys Junior College, but noticed that one of the people needed a hand, so he helped her out.

In today’s world, filled with hate, acts of terrorism, violence, physical and emotional abuse, etc., it’s good to know there are those like Mujeed and Jason who look out for the innocent children often caught in the middle.
