A HORRIFYING SCENARIO

Pittsburgh's public safety director, Wendell Hissrich, described the horrific crime scene as 'one of the worst' that he had seen, even worse than the plane crashes that he has witnessed in the past.

The Department of Justice has announced that a total of 29 charges have been filed against that 46-year-old gunman, 'including charges that could lead to the death penalty.'

THE REASON BEHIND THE ATTACK

So far, Bowers is expected to be charged with 11 counts of use of a firearm to commit murder; 11 counts of obstruction of exercise of religious belief resulting in death; four counts of injury to a public safety officer and three counts of use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

Although police are still investigating the motives behind Bowers' actions, it is believed that the victims were 'brutally murdered by a gunman targeting them simply because of their faith.'

DEATH PENALTY

President Donald Trump reacted to the shooting as soon as he learned of the terrifying situation, and took to Twitter to advise people living nearby not to leave the safety of their homes.

The U.S. President followed the case quite closely and claimed that people who commit such hateful crimes 'should get the death penalty.'
