Jon Gosselin is trying to win full custody of his son Colin

Jon Gosselin posted a picture of himself, his daughter Hannah and son Collin on Instagram on Sunday. He captioned it with what a good weekend he had with son Collin at home, one and a half weeks after filing for full legal and physical custody of 14-year-old Collin.

According to filed documents in Pennsylvania on October 24, Jon, 41, believe it would be in Collin’s best interest to be with his father full time after his release from an inpatient program for special needs children.

Jon and ex-wife Kate are parents of 18-year-old twins Mady and Cara, then the 14-year-old sextuplets Collin and Hannah, Alexis, Leah, Aaden and Joel. Hannah is already living with Jon full time, and if Jon gets full custody of Collin, he will join both him and his sister at home.

Kate and Jon were married for ten years from 1999 until 2009. Collin is said to be thriving in his program and Jon stays in close contact with staff members.

Jon opened up about his relationship with Collin and said that he never got the chance to see his son and elaborated:

“I don’t know what’s going on. The whole point is I’m left in the dark. There’s no explanation. It’s disheartening. I don’t ever see Collin, ever. Not off the bus because he doesn’t go to school. Not at the gate because he doesn’t come down. Nothing. I am totally estranged from Collin because of Kate.”

With Collin enrolled in the special needs program away from home it is rare to have him at home and he enjoyed the time he got to spend with his son, the previous time had been back in May, celebrating his 14th birthday.

Jon sees more of his children now and has recently said in an Instagram Live video in August that Hannah is permanently living with him now, he had been trying to get custody of Hannah since 2015.

Since August Jon had been streaming photos of him and Hannah spending time together and then posted a video on Instagram who some interpret as a discreet announcement that he had gotten full custody of Hannah and said:

“I’d like to thank everyone for their love and support during this week. Obviously, you know the situation. If you don’t know the situation, you should get together with a friend or anyone who understands the situation.”

This is also seen as a sign that more of his children are expected to reunite with Jon soon.
