Meghan regularly shares messages in remembrance of her father. Earlier week, she wrote a beautiful post on Twitter, two months after her father passed away:

"My first Election Day of my life without you - miss you so much today Dad. Thank you for always involving me in our amazing American political process and bringing me everywhere you went."

McCain was diagnosed with a glioblastoma back in 2017 and underwent aggressive chemotherapy and radiation up to his death.

He was only given a 3 to 14 percent chance of survival. Brain cancer patients, on average, typically survive less than a year and a half after diagnosis.

He was survived by his wife, Cindy, seven children including talk-show host Meghan McCain, as well as his 106-year-old mother, Roberta McCain.
