Mariah Carey criticized by shamers after sharing a video of herself and her twins in a moving car
The singer took to her Instagram on November 28 to share an adorable video singing along to her Christmas classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” but it backfired when “mom shamers” noticed something.
48-year-old Mariah Carey wanted to show how she and her twins were feeling the Christmas spirit with the holidays around the corner, and she did it with a car singing video that prompted criticism from some of her fans.
The clip starts with Carey asking her 7-year-olds Moroccan and Monroe if they were ready as the first chords of her 1994 hit play, before the little ones, wearing Santa hats sing the background vocals of the song.
The mother-of-two is sitting in the front seat and the twins in the back seat, and the fact that the children are not wearing seatbelts in a moving car made Carey the target of critics. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa
"Roc & Roe have been practicing the background vocals to 'All I Want For Christmas Is You,' we're gonna take this one step at a time - we're very excited about it! It's our first video doing this! It's festive, C'mon."

While some of her followers were happy to see the star sharing such a cute and intimate moment with her beloved ones, others were outraged at the singer for risking their children.
“Jesus, buckle up your kids!!! I lost a cousin in an accident. He wouldn’t even have had a scratch from if he was buckled up!! You should get a visit from CPS! (Child Protective Services)” wrote user “mnisby.”
“Shame on you… no child seats?” commented “schorsuzi.” User “okinawa8” added: “No one has seat belts on- not good!!!.”
The “Hero” singer shares her son and daughter with former husband, rapper Nick Cannon, ten years her junior. Carey and Cannon were married from 2008 to 2014.
Carey loves to flaunt her lovely children in social media, to the delight of most of her loyal fans, and she frequently shares funny stories about them in public appearances.
She once told Jimmy Kimmel that Moroccan spent $5.000 on Amazon without her knowledge.
The proud mother also revealed to Kimmel that the twins are very serious about following her steps in the music industry, telling him that they had already recorded their first song and that “they’re definitely talented.”
As crazy as she is about her children, Carey has also been embarrassed by them, with Morocco leaving her red-faced in 2013 due to an incident during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the White House.
Carey told Andy Cohen that her son Morocco, then 2 years old, threw up all over former first lady Michelle Obama, a moment the star described as “one of the most humiliating things that ever happened to me.”
