Jonathan Scott’s ex-girlfriend gets engaged to a photographer just 8 months after their split

HGTV’s “Property Brothers” star, Jonathan Scott, made a quick comment when he learned that his former girlfriend, Jacinta Kuznetsov, is engaged after they broke up in April 2018.

Kuznetsov announced her engagement with filmmaker Will Allen on Instagram. She was delighted to share the news and posted a photo of herself and Allen with a sweet, lengthy caption.

“Thank you for your friendship for six years, my love,' she wrote on Instagram. 'I am grateful we figured it all out. And thank you for asking me to be your bff forever. #yesyesyes,” she wrote.

Days after Allen proposed, Kuznetsov had a short interview with Us Weekly.

She said, “We have been best friends for years,' she said. 'We went to the spot we met six years ago and at midnight, put a quote onto the sidewalk to remind people to love each other more.”

Allen took the time to gush on Instagram about his new fiancée. He said, "I've never felt so courageous in my life and I'm so happy and excited to spend my life with the strongest woman I've ever known.”

When Scott was asked how he took the news, the star briefly said, “I wish Jacinta the very best, as always.”

After almost three years of being together, Scott and Kuznetsov called it quits in April this year.

At the time, Scott wrote about the breakup, “Sometimes life takes you on unexpected paths and those paths aren't always in the same direction.”

He further clarified that there was no drama and that they will always be friends no matter where they go.

As for Kuznetsov, she said a similar statement, writing, “An abundance of love for J has been a beautiful and rewarding time of my life. However, life is funny and sometimes chapters change and this one has. We have deep love and respect for one another but have gone separate ways.”

Following their breakup, Kuznetsov left her post as a development producer for Scott Brothers Entertainment.

Scott’s brother, Drew, also weighed in on the breakup in April and told Us Weekly that both his brother and Kuznetsov knew they “weren’t right for each other.”

Although, he added that they will always support Kuznetsov because she is close to Scott’s family.
