Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are over the moon now that they have their daughter living with them in their home. While they had their apprehensions and fears, Union finally shares the emotional story behind them trying to embrace the fact that they are now parents and the reason behind Wade's tattoo to honor his daughter.

The nine-month pregnancy journey is nervewracking for any expectant mother, but Union has been waiting years to have her first child that she thought it was a cruel joke. The first-time mother welcomed her first daughter with Dwyane Wade through a surrogate early this month.

She opened up about such a precious moment she shared with her husband when they decided to let go of all the fears they had about their daughter being delivered by someone else, and embrace that their daughter was going to come home to them safely.

Gabrielle Union's struggle with infertility has dated back years and might have been caused by a condition that she's had to deal with since she was in her early 20's. The disease, called adenomyosis, is a condition wherein the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus. This disease causes extreme menstrual cramps, lower abdominal pressure, and bloating before menstrual periods, and can even cause long and heavy periods. This then impacts the woman's quality of life.

Since getting together with her husband, Gabrielle has had eight failed cycles of In Vitro Fertilization and eight miscarriages, and it has been the most heartbreaking thing for her. However, the couple were persistent with their desire to have children together, that is why they decided to go with surrogacy.

At first, the couple kept their surrogate pregnancy out of the spotlight. It was only when Kaavia arrived safely in their arms that they opened up about the whole ordeal.

The couple, now a strong believer of having faith and releasing all fear, even signified this with Dwyane getting his first tattoo of his daughter's name.

Now, the Wades are enjoying taking care of their daughter Kaavia James, and no doubt they will be the best parents they can be.
