Kate Middleton’s mom reveals little royals get their own Christmas trees in her first interview
Carole Middleton, Kate Middleton’s mother, revealed in her first-ever interview that her royal grandchildren would each be having their own trees this Christmas in her home in Bucklebury.
Carole finally decided to open up to the public and spoke with the Telegraph. She talked about what her life has been like since Kate married Prince William, and she also revealed the reason why she has remained mum over the years.
On a lighter note, the grandmother of the three royal children revealed that she wants to have as many Christmas trees in their manor house in Bucklebury as they could have.
The 63-year-old said that each of her grandchildren’s rooms has a tree. Explaining why, Carole said it’s “so that they can decorate it themselves.”

Carole has four grandchildren in total as of the moment. She has Kate and Prince William’s children - Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince Louis, seven months – and Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews’s first child who they welcomed in October – Arthur.
Meanwhile, when it comes to her relationship with Kate, Carole revealed that they have remained close even though the Duchess of Cambridge has a lot of royal responsibilities on her plate.
In fact, when Kate and Prince William have time to spare, they bring their children to Bucklebury to spend time with Carole and her husband, Michael.
Regarding sharing their opinions about the royal couple with the press, both Carole and Michael chose to keep quiet.
She said, “Over the years, it’s proved wise not to say anything.”
Apart from that, Carole also admitted that she no longer cares about what the media has to say about her. As of last year, she stopped looking through the pages of any stories penned about her.
She explained, “I thought it was better to know what people thought. But it doesn’t make any different. I’m not really sure how I’m perceived now. But the thing is… it is really normal — most of the time.”
Amid the intense attention given to Carole and her family by the media, she said she still lives a normal life.
She shared, "I have two other children and grandchildren and my job, and I lead a lot of my life round here, where I’ve lived for years and people knew me before Catherine’s…impact. It isn’t normal maybe to go to Louis’ christening or Catherine’s wedding, but, in the end, they’re all family events."
