Meghan Markle flaunts a fresh new haircut – barely visible at first sight
The Duchess of Sussex seems to have gotten herself a haircut because her brown locks seemed shorter than the last time she made a public appearance.
On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, the 37-year-old made a surprise visit to King's College London, where she sat down with a group of academics to discuss several subjects.
As it can be seen in the photo shared by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Duchess' hair appears to be shorter and curlier than before.

THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE
Meghan, who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in the spring, wore a simple black dress to the event, where she discussed the importance of education.
"Universities are extremely important since they play a crucial role in one's path to success."

In the photo, Meghan appears to be quite interested in what the academics had to say, always with a pen and a piece of paper close by to jot down some notes.
According to the Duchess, a higher education is an important tool to tackle global issues such as modern-day slavery, gender equality and human trafficking.

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A BETTER FUTURE
The 37-year-old was specifically referring to young girls and women in developing countries, where education opportunities are scarce are women are still seen as being inferior to men.
Making use of her personal experience, the former actress talked about her struggle to finance her higher education, as well as the 'feeling of pride and excitement' while she was studying for her degree.
EMPOWERING WOMEN
Meghan claimed that, with a higher education, women around the world could have new opportunities to make something out of themselves and have a better quality of life.
Duchess of Sussex makes non-publicised visit to @KingsCollegeLon (one error, though: article says most royal engagements are not publicised in advance, which is wrong. Harry prefers to visit under the radar. Understandable on occasions, but not as a rule) https://t.co/k4NU5L9kzB

For that, universities are extremely important since they play a crucial role in one's path to success. During the meeting, several other topics were also discussed, such as peace, reconciliation, climate changes and resilience.
