José and Petra built a house in Pozuelo 50 years ago with their own hands. Now they face a possible eviction for a deceit of their son-in-law who, taking advantage of the death of the daughter, he deceived them so that they signed a loan of 300,000 euros in which they put their house as collateral.

José and Petra, 82 and 85, are about to be left in the street. After their daughter died, his son-in-law asked them for help because he had financial problems. Without knowing it, they guaranteed a loan with their house.

Now, the son-in-law can’t afford the debt and has declared himself insolvent. The bank claims the property of the octogenarian couple. "My son-in-law deceived us and we loved him like a son," said Petra.

On the verge of being evicted, José and Petra request an intermediate option such as dation in payment or social rent so that the bank lets them live there until their days are over. The worst for them is that they felt cheated by their son-in-law. "We wanted him like a son."

José receives a pension of one thousand euros, while Petra does not receive anything despite she worked all her life. The crisis began after their daughter died.
