Teyana Taylor shares emotional 911 call from birth of daugher Junie to celebrate her 3rd birthday

Teyana Taylor recalls the day her husband delivered their daughter at home in a powerful video she shared on their daughter's third birthday.

It’s been three years since Teyana Taylor gave birth to her daughter Junie in the way she never imagined – at home with her husband on the phone speaking to a 911 operator instructing him how to deliver their child. It was a moment her family will never forget and one she chose to look back to as Junie turned three on December 16.

AN EMOTIONAL THROWBACK TO THE DAY OF JUNIE'S BIRTH

In a powerful series of video clips featuring Junie’s short life from the time she was born, she embedded the live audio of the 911 call that changed their lives that day. Her husband, Iman Shumpert was on the phone, nervous while speaking to the 911 operator. He was taking instructions because he already had Junie’s head in his hands and had no clue what to do.

Teyana was unaware that she was already in labor when she suddenly felt her daughter’s head pushing its way out of her. There was no time to rush to the hospital which prompted her then-fiance to make the 911 call. According to her Instagram post after Junie’s birth where she narrated her story, it only “took two ten count pushes with my fiancé playing Dr and she entered this world into his bare hands!” She added,

“Eyes full of tears and barely able to speak to the emergency operator @imanshumpert tied a pair of red headphones around the umbilical cord and the ambulance made there grand entrance 5 min later.”

Now, three years later, Teyana still gets emotional every time she listens to the 911 call. She decided to share it with the world while professing her love for Junie in her birthday message.

"Wow this 911 call gets me in feelings every time. If I had to choose between breathing and loving you I would use my last breath to tell you I love you. U are my EVERYTHING. & mommy loves you so much @babyjunie4 happy 3rd bday baby"

TEYANA AND IMAN'S STORY

Junie’s method of arrival may be something her parents never expected but it forged a stronger bond between her and Iman. Teyana showed her appreciation to her husband this year when she greeted him with a sweet message on their anniversary.

“When I say I love you more, that don’t mean I love you more than you love me. I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us, I love you more than any fight we will ever have. I love you more than the distance between us, I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us.”

Teyana and Iman married in 2016 after sealing their engagement a year earlier during their Thanksgiving baby shower. Junie was born shortly after. During a sit down with Wendy Williams, the singer surprised the world by revealing she was already married to Iman and even shared that they wore matching red leather jackets while exchanging vows.
