The Duchess of Sussex shared her first Christmas card photo with husband Prince Harry, and fans are quick to notice its surprising similarity to another card she shared years ago.

The first Christmas card from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry bears the photograph of the Sussexes facing away from the camera toward the celebratory fireworks at Windsor’s Frogmore House, taken immediately after their royal wedding in May.

The black-in-white photograph already faced much criticism for being unconventional in terms of its color scheme as well as the Royals facing away from the camera.

To add to the unpopularity, now the royal fans have spotted that the card has a startling resemblance to a photo in the wedding invitation of Markle and her first husband, Trevor Engelson.

Both the photographs surprisingly feature the couple turning away from the camera with arms around each other and they are both in black and white theme.

However, there is one major difference between the two photographs. The one with Prince Harry sees the couple standing while the one with Engelson sees the couple sitting on a beach.

One Twitter account posted the two photographs making a comparison and calling the use of “same idea” on both the images “spooky.” The Twitter account wrote, “To do the same idea with each husband is so weird, to say the least.”

According to Express, the Markle-Engelson photograph was taken at a Jamaican beach, and it includes the message “save the date” right above the wedding date of Markle and Engelson.

Recently, reports also emerged about Markle’s increasing influence on Prince Harry in regards to his snub of the annual pheasant hunt out of respect for Markle’s principles.

The Duchess of Sussex is known for being an animal lover and Harry avoided the Royal Family’s Boxing Day pheasant shoot for her. He had been attending the tradition for 20 years.

Such reports have come amid recent headlines about a rift between Prince Harry and the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.
