THE FAMILIES’ REACTION

The DJ at the wedding burst out a surprised expression on the microphone while the bride struggled to get away from her father-in-law and his tight embrace.

It wasn’t long until relatives started getting up from their seats and rushed towards the groom’s father and the bride. The next clip showed both families starting a commotion.

What started as a happy gathering ended in a massive fight between the two sides. Some of the members of the bride’s family can be seen attacking her father-in-law in the video.

THE FAMILIES’ JOINT STATEMENT

Needless to say, the wedding turned into quite a controversy. In fact, police had to jump in and investigate the incident. Meanwhile, photos and videos kept on circulating on social media, which eventually forced the families to release a joint statement.

The statement read, "We didn’t expect the incident to take such a negative turn. The two families are now in an awkward position, and the newly-weds have suffered because of it too.”

The statement continued to say that the father-in-law was very upset and has since realized that his actions were wrong. The man was reportedly regretting everything he did at the reception.

Also, the family asked the public to cease sharing the videos and photos online.

"We do not wish to become famous, nor do we want to become the butt of every person’s joke. Had this happened in your family, would you be sharing it like this?” the statement ended.

The statement released by the family might have been a little too late since the damage had already been done and the video already became viral worldwide at the time.

NO STORM CAN STOP THIS FILIPINO COUPLE

Unlike the Chinese couple’s wedding, which started fine and ended with a disaster, this Filipino couple’s wedding started with one but eventually ended on a happy note.

Defying the force of nature, the couple became viral since they decided to push through with their wedding even though the church was flooded due to the storm that hit the Philippines.

The bride walked down the aisle of the flooded church, and even though it was not a typical wedding, many hearts were captured as the couple’s story went viral.

24-year-old Jobel de Los Angeles rode a boat to the church and tied the knot with the father of her two children. The guests were barefoot and soaked, but they still had big smiles on their faces.

Despite the circumstances, love was in the air for the Filipino couple. Speaking with AFP, the bride said, "Even if it floods or it rains, nothing can stop me. You only get married once, will you postpone it? I was marrying the man I love.”
