Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell look lovely on a walk together after 'Christmas Chronicles' release
Mr. and Mrs. Claus took some leisurely time off strolling around Aspen this weekend following the success of ‘Christmas Chronicles,’ with Christmas only days away.
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell braced the cold, snowy weather in Aspen to do some shopping on Saturday.
Strolling arm in arm when not leaving shops with bags of goodies, the couple looked relaxed in their cozy winter clothing.
The 73-year-old actress looked geared up against the cold in her plush fur-trimmed white coat, skinny jeans, and combat boots, while Kurt had a warm olive green jacket zipped up as far as it would go, with a beanie emblazoned with the word, ‘Wine,’ and khaki pants.

Themed around their movie that became a Netflix blockbuster, ‘The Christmas Chronicles,’ Kurt and Goldie’s Christmas card this year features a picture of the couple relaxing in a pair of leather armchairs and a plush shaggy rug in front of a cozy fireplace.
To complete the picture the couple wore their Santa outfits with their Burmese Mountain Dogs lazily spending time with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. The very same dogs Goldie admitted to ‘two-timing’ Kurt with during the shooting of the film when she got pictured kissing one of the dogs.
The holiday movie, ‘The Christmas Chronicles,’ got released on November 22 and exceeded all expectations as the chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, shared that the film got streamed over 20 million times within the first week, a first for Kurt Russell, who plays Santa.
On December 3, Sarandos said at UBS Global Media and Communications Conference:
“Even in his successful career, [Kurt Russell] has never had that many people see one of his movies in the first week ever. That’s a testimony to what we can bring to the market for storytellers today that we couldn’t have ten years ago.”
Comparing ‘The Christmas Chronicles’ to a theatre release, it grossed $200 million in the first week. The movie shows Kurt Russell as Santa as he follows a pair of siblings who plans on capturing Santa on camera and turns into the adventure of their lives.
Directed by Clay Kaytis (Angry Birds), it has had mixed reviews from critics, with some calling it “dull” while others call it “bonkers” and “earnest.”
Oliver Hudson, Goldie’s 42-year-old son also stars in the movie as the family father, Doug Pierce.
The roles of Santa Claus and his wife suits the pair that’s been together for 35 years, and almost seen in the light as Hollywood’s grandparents. And a special film for them, as it's the first time the couple has appeared together on-screen since 1987 when they co-starred in 'Overboard.'
Santa returns to the North Pole at the end of the film, which is when Goldie makes her appearance to recap all the adventures with Santa as they settle in to watch the movie.
