Michelle Obama's spitting image found after Barack's birthday message

Malia Obama appeared to be her mother's mini-me in an Instagram photo. The throwback picture of Michelle made the two look like twins.

Michelle Obama celebrated her 55th birthday on January 17th. She received tons of birthday wishes online from thousands of fans.

The most important Birthday wish, however, was from none other than her husband and the former President, Barack Obama.

He posted an old photo on Twitter in which he stood with his arm wrapped around Michelle's shoulder. The two smiled for the camera.

He captioned the post:

"I knew it way back then and I'm absolutely convinced of it today - you're one of a kind. @MichelleObama. Happy Birthday!"

The sweet post got over five million likes and tons of comments. Barack's frequent show of love to Michelle is something Americans never get tired of.

But something stood out to many who saw the photo. It was the strong resemblance between Michelle and her older daughter Malia Obama.

It's unclear how old Michelle was in the throwback picture, but we know she was at least 25 because that's the age she met Barack.

It doesn't matter, though. Malia, 20, still looks very similar to her mom back in the day. Additionally, the young woman typically sports a natural look and "casual-chic" outfits as her mother used to.

The observation is nothing new of course. In May of 2018, Michelle posted a photo of her younger self sitting with her parents and she looked like a younger Malia.

At the time, she announced to her fans how she would be sharing pieces from her then-upcoming book, "Becoming."

The biographical book turned out to be a major success. On Thursday, it made records as being the longest-running Best Seller on Amazon, beating out "Fifty Shades of Grey" for the current decade.

Another birthday surprise that only the former First Lady could get was a shout out from superstar Beyonce herself. The singer followed suit from Barack by posting a throwback picture of Michelle.

The picture needed no caption. It was simply a picture of little Michelle in an adorable dress wearing gloves and a large bow. Big and bold in the middle was the text: "BOW DOWN."

Beyonce and Michelle are two powerful women who are also good friends. The performer looks up to the former FLOTUS with great admiration. Hence, it's no surprise to see the sweet birthday post.

We sure hope that Michelle had an enjoyable 55th birthday celebration and wish her many more years to come.
