Boy's Victory Dance After Beating Cancer Becomes an International Sensation

Solomon Lutui from Seattle is the baby of hope; he is five years old and has just defeated cancer in the abdomen with strength worthy of a warrior accustomed to intense fighting.

With joy and passion, the little boy found a way to get his family out of sadness, and to the rhythm of Michael Jackson's songs, he was defeating the hard disease.

His story and his dances became viral and for a few days, he became a reference for thousands who fight against the drama of tumors and chemotherapy.

In May of 2018, the 5-year-old boy was found to have a tumor in his abdomen and began chemotherapy treatments. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa.

Like all the boys of his age, he was bored by the long hours inside the hospital and with the help of his aunt discovered a way to make everything more bearable.

"He got bored with his usual games and drawings, so he started watching videos on the Internet. When my sister found out, she made him know about Michael Jackson's subjects and fell in love immediately," her mother, Leni Lutui told People magazine.

The boy had lost his father at 10 months, also for cancer, so the whole family was moved by the hard time they had to go through again.

"Receiving the news of his illness was one of the most difficult things that happened to me since his father died," the woman confessed. But little by little the joy of the little one was pushing everyone to have hope.

"Bad", "Beat It", "Thriller", all the hits began to sound in the room of the boy who was encouraged to dance and imitate his new idol. "It was as if he forgot everything that he was living by dancing to Michael's songs," he explained.

The music transformed him and that child who suffered the collateral effects of hard chemotherapy; prostrate in bed for pain, nausea and fear, was now applauded by relatives and doctors while imitating the steps of the King of pop.

"No one would believe the tests he passed because he was seen dancing with a lot of energy," said Leni. "You never would have known that this child was sick because he was transformed into a small dancing machine every time he entered the hospital."

Now in social media, users from all over the world congratulate Solomon for being a great dancer and a winner in the worst circumstances of life, such as living with cancer.

In a similar story, Kennith Thomas became viral after posting a video of himself dancing in front of his baby boy to cheer him up. The little one was diagnosed with acute megakaryoblastic leukemia (AMKL) at just 14-months-old, but thanks to all the people that looked after him, he is now cancer free.

This story also reminds us of 5-year-old Madison, who was diagnosed with Leukemia and her family did something beautiful in support of the little girl.

Alicia Samone, who was hired by Madison’s family to take pictures of the moment they all shaved their heads in solidarity to her, took to Facebook to tell the story.
