His sudden death at the age of 16 shocked the family deeply. Jett tragically died while on vacation in the Bahamas with the rest of the family.

The family's lawyer at the time, Michael Ossi, shared that Jett suffered a seizure at their vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Police spokeswoman Loretta Mackey reported that the teenager was found unconscious in the bathroom by a caretaker around 10 a.m.

Jett, who had a history of seizures, had hit his head in the bathtub and was rushed to Rand Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
