Halle Berry shares pic of son on the beach after revealing why she decided to show his face online

Halle Berry, the multi-awarded actress known for keeping her children away from the spotlight, took to Instagram to share a photo of her son, Maceo, at the beach.

In the image, the five-year-old boy appeared wearing camo sweatpants and a black shirt that had “BE YOUR OWN HERO” printed on it. Maceo had his arms stretched out, and his head was tucked down.

For the caption, Halle wrote, “what he said,” followed by a wave emoji. Even though his face was not fully visible, the actress’ followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts and thanked her for sharing that pic.

“God bless you for empowering others. You’re a true blessing. Beautiful inside & out. Namaste,” wrote one user.

“Very cool and motivational photo! Thanks for sharing this,” added a second follower.

“Does he know his mom is the baddest chick in the game? Just saying!” wondered another person.

POSTING MORE PHOTOS OF MACEO

While Halle has tried her best to keep her two children – 10-year-old Nahla and five-year-old Maceo – out of the spotlight, it was not the first time that she has shared a photo of her son on social media.

Back in June 2018, she uploaded a pic portraying the boy on a boat with no shirt on looking at one side. Although only one side of Maceo’s face was visible, it was more than what people had seen of him throughout the years.

EXPLAINING HER DECISION

Soon later, she was in an interview with Extra, wherein she discussed that decision.

“That was a struggle. I really don’t like to show my kids very much … but I do realize … my people are, like, solid for me and me for them and I feel like I want to include them.”

The actress added that it was a fine line as she didn't want to exploit her children. Instead, she wanted to protect them, so “half the face is good.”

ENJOYING CHRISTMAS

In December last year, Halle uploaded another adorable picture of Maceo, whose father is Halle’s ex-husband, French actor Olivier Martinez. In it, he appeared wearing pajamas while a huge Christmas wreath was over his shoulder, just as if it was a necklace.

Again, his face was not fully visible, but Halle’s followers loved the post anyway. At the moment, the actress waiting for the release date of her latest film “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” which is expected to hit theaters this May.
