A Monument to Ozzy, but One Familiar Face Was Absent
The six-meter-tall "Prince of Darkness" statue was unveiled this week at Hellfest in Clisson, France, where heavy metal fans gathered to celebrate Ozzy's enduring legacy. As reported by AOL, the stone monument was designed by French contemporary artist Philippe Pasqua and engraved with Ozzy's famous concert slogan.
In one wide shot from the unveiling, the dark monument stands atop a raised platform beneath a towering red archway bearing the Hellfest emblem. Metal barriers surround the display, while the festival grounds sit under a cloudless blue sky.

A closer angle shows the sculpture emerging from a pile of jagged stone blocks. Ozzy is depicted with his head tilted upward, and both hands extended toward the sky, while a plaque at the base reads "Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne" above the "No More Tears" singer's phrase, "Let the madness begin."

Another view captures the monument in profile, emphasizing the outstretched arms and the rocky base beneath the figure. The bright midday sun casts a long shadow across the platform, with festival tents and nearby buildings visible in the background.
The statue is one of several tributes the Osbourne family has embraced since Ozzy died at age 76 in July 2025.

According to the same report, the rocker died from complications related to cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson's disease, which he had been diagnosed with in 2019.
At first, Sharon did not publicly address why she was unable to attend the ceremony.

Sharon Reveals the Unexpected Reason Behind Her Absence
On June 18, Sharon finally shared an explanation in an Instagram post:
"I'm sorry I couldn't be at Hellfest for the unveiling of Ozzy's statue. Unfortunately, I had an unexpected trip to the hospital earlier in the week."
Her caption continued, "A big thank you, Olivier Garnier, Ben Barbaud, and everyone at Hellfest. Special thank you to @philippe_pasqua_officiel for the absolutely stunning statue! 🙏"
The television personality did not provide additional details about what led to the hospitalization, leaving many fans wondering how she was doing.
While Sharon was recovering, her son shared a brief glimpse of the festivities on Instagram the following day, pairing his post with his father's song "Hellraiser" and

Her First Outing Since the Hospitalization News
Just days after revealing her hospital stay, Sharon appeared to be back on her feet. In photos shared by The Sun, Sharon made her first public appearance since disclosing her hospitalization.
She was photographed standing outside a building, wearing a long black coat over a blue button-down shirt and wide-leg black trousers. The television personality completed the look with dark sunglasses and carried a large gray handbag over one shoulder.
The outing suggested she was recovering, although she has yet to speak publicly about the cause of her latest health scare.
A Frightening Health Episode She Still Can't Explain
This is not the first time Sharon has been hospitalized unexpectedly. In December 2022, she suffered what TMZ described as a medical emergency while filming at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula, California. Emergency responders transported her to a hospital after she suddenly became ill on set.
Later that day, her son Jack Osbourne reassured fans that she had been released and was back home after receiving the all-clear from doctors.
According to a report, in a since-expired Instagram story, Jack said, "She has been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support. As to what happened to my mum -- I'm gonna leave it to her to share about when she is ready," he reportedly added.
Weeks afterward, Sharon opened up about the frightening ordeal while returning to "The Talk UK." In a January 4, 2023, Instagram post on the interview, she wrote, "So happy to be back @thetalkuk! We chatted briefly about my holiday trip to the hospital. Although it's still a mystery, I'm feeling fantastic and ready to get talking! 🇬🇧"

During the discussion, she admitted that doctors had never discovered what caused her collapse. "I wish I could, but I can't. It was the weirdest thing. I was doing some filming, and suddenly they tell [sic] me that I fell, yeah, for 20 minutes."
"And I was in [the] hospital. I went to one hospital. They took me to another hospital, and I did every test over two days, and nobody knows why."
When asked whether alcohol played a role, Sharon laughed and replied, "No." She added, "Yeah, I am. Thank you," when another presenter asked if she was feeling better.
According to ABC News, Sharon has faced several serious health challenges over the years, including colon cancer in 2002 and a preventive double mastectomy in 2012 after learning she carried a genetic predisposition to breast cancer.
For now, Sharon appears to be focusing on recovery while continuing to honor the memory of the "Children of the Grave" singer, even though an unexpected hospital visit kept her from witnessing one of the latest tributes to his legendary career.
