A sun-soaked family vacation gave Rod Stewart's fans plenty to smile about. But among all the beach days and scenic views, one rare photo sparked the biggest reaction — and it had nothing to do with Ibiza itself.

The snapshot brought together all four of Rod Stewart's sons, prompting hundreds of fans to zero in on one family resemblance they couldn't ignore.

Rod's family recently reunited for a summer getaway in Ibiza, Spain, where they enjoyed time together by the sea. His daughter, Renee Stewart, shared a collection of vacation memories in an Instagram post, captioning it, "A very happy nay nay in Ibiza with some of the family ( we listened to this song 170 times in a space of 48 hours)."

A Family Vacation Sets the Stage

The carousel offered a glimpse into the family's Mediterranean escape. One Polaroid-style photo showed relatives relaxing in the sea around a floating platform.

A black-and-white photo captures a person mid-handspring off the end of a wooden dock, moments before diving into the calm sea for a swim. Shoes, sandals, and a towel are scattered across the dock, while sailboats and yachts dot the horizon beneath a clear sky.

A selfie-style photo shows Renee smiling at the camera while raising her hand toward the lens inside what appears to be a beach club or seaside restaurant. Beside her, another woman wearing sunglasses smiles while holding a drink, capturing another relaxed moment from the family's Ibiza vacation.

A sunlit street in Ibiza is lined with colorful Mediterranean buildings, outdoor cafés, flowering plants, and lush greenery. Restaurant terraces spill onto the quiet pedestrian walkway, which stretches toward a whitewashed building at the far end of the street.

Renee also shared a sunset portrait with Rod, showing the father and daughter smiling arm in arm aboard what appeared to be a yacht or seaside terrace. Rod wore a bright yellow outfit, while Renee chose a striped dress against the backdrop of the sea.

A few days later, a publication highlighted another moment from the Ibiza getaway in an Instagram post — and this time, one photo immediately stood out from the rest.

Then One Rare Family Photo Changed the Conversation

The image was a rare snapshot featuring all four of Rod's sons together: Sean, Liam, Alastair, and Aiden. Seeing the brothers reunited in one frame was unusual enough, but fans quickly became fascinated by something else.

Many thought Aiden looked almost identical to a young Rod. One Instagram person wrote, "Aidan is the spitting image of his dad." Another commented, "Good looking guys. Nice job, Rod." A third added, "Wow! Aiden is a little Rod! Such a handsome family❤️"

The same observation carried over to Facebook. One person wrote, "Aiden is the double of a young Rod, his cheekbones and mouth exactly the same, you lucky boy to look like your legend Father."

The Brothers Have Been Following Very Different Paths

According to People, Sean Stewart, Rod's oldest son, recently split from wife Jody Weintraub and is now dating Julia Stambler after the couple began divorce proceedings.

Liam Stewart, meanwhile, celebrated a much happier milestone. According to People, he married Nicole Artukovich at the St. Ignatius Church in Croatia on May 31, in a ceremony surrounded by their loved ones, including 1-year-old son Louie. The couple later welcomed daughter Elsie Skylar Stewart, whose birth Nicole announced in an Instagram post.

Rod's third-youngest son, Alastair Stewart, has also stepped into the spotlight in his own way. According to Yahoo, Alastair modeled for Palm Angels in 2022, with campaign billboards appearing throughout Milan.

Rod proudly celebrated the achievement in his own Instagram post, writing, "Love @palmangels and that my boy 'wears it well.'"

The youngest of the four brothers, Aiden Stewart, has largely stayed out of the spotlight. According to People, the youngest brothers, Alastair and Aiden, are Rod's sons with wife Penny Lancaster, whom he married in 2007. In an interview with People, Rod shared a humorous story about trying to give Alastair, then 15, a talk about sex after learning he had started dating.

"My 15-year-old is dating girls, so I had to give him a sex lesson. I just told him what he should and shouldn't do, but he's on top of it. He was like, 'Dad, I've got the internet. I know everything,' " Rod recalled.

In the same interview, the father of eight explained that parenting children across such a wide range of ages has required different approaches over the years. "I have to be several different fathers because of the different age groups of my kids," he said. "You really have to treat all of them as individuals with individual problems."

Family Reunions Have Become Increasingly Special

The Ibiza getaway also reflected something Rod has spoken about for years. A few months after Aiden's birth in 2011, Rod told People that bringing all of his children together had become increasingly difficult because they were living separate lives.

"I'm trying to make more time now that I've carved out my career. I want to enjoy my kids," he said. He added, "We're all planning a massive vacation somewhere. It's hard to get them all together because they are all off in different directions. But I am so proud of them."

Those gatherings have become cherished family traditions. According to Fox News, Rod Stewart reunited many of his children for a vacation in Italy in 2022, marking the family's first major getaway together in seven years.

Two years later, HELLO! reported that Rod, wife Penny Lancaster, several of his children, grandchildren, and their partners gathered once again aboard a luxury yacht in Italy. This year's Ibiza vacation appears to have continued that tradition.
