Donald and Melania's rose-topped wedding cake, a smaller version of their $50,000 cake, auctioned
The President of the United States and the First Lady auctioned off their wedding cake.
The inedible cake was listed for a starting price of $250 on Julien's Live Auction website last week, and the value was estimated between $1,000 and $2,000.

A WEDDING SOUVENIR
It was modeled after the couple's seven-tier wedding cake which reported weighed around 200 pounds and cost more than $50,000.
While the smaller version stands only three inches, the wedding cake couldn't be eaten as it required a wire frame to keep it up straight.
The lot was closed on Friday, with the winning bid clocking in at $2,240 for the wedding favor souvenir.
A PRESTIGIOUS EVENT
The 14-year-old cake was designed for Donald and Melania Trump's wedding ceremony, held at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate back in 2005.
The ceremony was attended by Hillary Clinton, her husband Bill, Heidi Klum, Shaquille O'Neal, and Simon Cowell, among others.
Apart from Trump's personal effects being auctioned off online, the President also made headlines this week when he delivered the SONU address on Thursday.
OTHER "TRUMP" AUCTIONS
Julien's Live Auctions found their niche auctioning of Trump objects and sold a sketch of the Empire State Building By Trump for $16,000 back in October.
The sketch was drawn by Donald Trump, using a black marker, and was reportedly donated by Trump in the early nineties as a fundraising gimmick.
THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS
Apart from Trump's personal effects being auctioned off online, the President also made headlines this week when he delivered the SONU address on Thursday.
Eagle-eyed fans noted that Trump's speech was similar to President Nixon's State of the Union address, delivered 1974.
The Democrats are set to follow on the Russia investigation of special counsel Robert Mueller, but Trump asks them to cut it out. He said:
"If there is going to be peace and legislation, there cannot be war and investigation."
This reminded viewers of President Nixon, who said during his SONU address in the mid-seventies that "one year of Watergate is enough."
