Valentinetti also surprised everyone when he moved towards the judges, sang their names and greeted them.

“I was lucky enough to go see Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr., and you are not just trying to do it but you are it and you’re genuine and authentic and real. I love what you’re doing,” Mandel said in a video uploaded to the show’s YouTube channel.

Clad in a white tuxedo, Valentinetti rocked a Bobby Darin 70’s hit song “Mack the Knife”, singing it with a suave twist.

IMPRESSED AUDIENCE

He pleased the entire audience, who cheered and clapped their hands while the old-fashioned crooner went on with his breathtaking performance.

STAR-STRUCK JUDGE

Klum found Valentinetti’s performance cute and charming while Cowell was greatly impressed at how he became a great performer.

“I was slightly star-struck. I’m gonna be honest with you right now. Yeah, I am. I mean seriously, it’s fantastic,” Cowell said.

Valentinetti, who is of Italian-American descent, landed fifth place in AGT season 11 in 2016. He got the golden buzzer from Klum after his sincere rendition of “My Way”, a 1960’s hit of Frank Sinatra.

Aside from Valentinetti, another past contestant of the show, Jackie Evancho, delivered a heartfelt song, a performance that also earned a standing ovation from the judges.
