Lady Gaga officially ends engagement, splits from fiancé Christian Carino

Lady Gaga and her fiancé Christian Carino recently broke up after being engaged for around four months.

The singer's split with Carino was reportedly confirmed yesterday by a representative who spoke to PEOPLE Magazine.

Observant fans already suspected that something was amiss when Gaga did not appear with Carino at the recent Grammy Awards on February 10. She was also missing her engagement ring.

According to the source, no drama was involved in the breakup which comes two years after the pair initially got together in February 2017.

The source said:

“It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end. There’s no long dramatic story.”

The source said that the 32-year-old and her ex-fiancé split "a bit ago." However, Carino, 49, was with her at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globes prior to the Grammys.

Gaga has been receiving several nominations and awards for her role in the acclaimed film "A Star Is Born." She won the best pop duo or group performance prize at the Grammys for the hit song "Shallow."

Gaga herself implied a change when she did not mention anyone else on her Valentine's Day post. Instead, the actress displayed a back tattoo of a long rose along her spine.

In cursive, french words saying, "la vie en rose" were written around the thorned stem. The rose, as well as the tattooed notes "G" and "A" on the inside of her arm, commemorated the hit musical drama.

In the caption, she wrote:

“Happy Valentine’s Day. A tattoo toast to “la vie en rose” by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose."

Gaga and Carino's engagement was publicly announced by the singer during the 25th Annual ELLE Women in October 2018. In her thank you speech, she referred to Carino as “my fiancé Christian.”

The couple has made several more casual public appearances together in the time they've been together. They were spotted at the Super Bowl LI before Gaga gave her performance in the first month of dating.

They were also seen taking a getaway to Montauk, New York. The pair traveled further to enjoy a romantic snuggle on Malibu beach. Showing their stance, they dressed up for the New York City Pride Parade back in June 2018.
