Bill Clinton sent out a respectful tweet dedicated to Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife, Barbara Bush, and their granddaughter is loving it.

On February 18, 2019, 72-year-old Clinton shared an old photograph that sees him and wife Hillary Clinton walking right behind the Bush couple. He captioned the throwback image, “Remembering my dear friends this #PresidentsDay.”

Following Clinton’s respectful tweet, the granddaughter of George and Barbara, Jenna Hager Bush also took to Twitter to reply to his message.

Sending out her appreciation of Clinton’s tweet, Jenna quoted his tweet with a simple, sweet message, “Me too,” and added a heart emoji.

Clinton’s message was also appreciated by many other Twitter users, who replied to his post by praising him for his humility.

One of the replies to his tweet read, “A great president and [first lady] no matter your political views.”

Meanwhile, Hillary took time to respect the past presidents and their families with a photograph that shared on Instagram.

The snap she uploaded sees a group photograph of Former Presidents Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, and husband Clinton along with Former First Lady Michelle Obama.

She captioned the photo with a simple message, “Happy Presidents’ Day!”

Both George and Barbara passed away last year. Barbara took her last breath earlier in April at the age of 92, while George died later on November 30 at the age of 94.

When George passed away right before the start of holiday season, his other granddaughter, Barbara Pierce Bush, explained that he died before Christmas to join his wife because the pair had never spent their holiday apart.

The pair always shared a close bond with their children as well as grandchildren. Following Barbara’s demise, Jenna also paid her an emotional tribute by sharing a throwback photo on Instagram.

She expressed her grief by stating that she missed the “enforcer” in the family, who held everyone together.

Jenna also expressed her gratitude toward her grandmother for teaching her to use her own “voice” while also valuing the opinions of others.
