Bill Cosby Will Be Forced to Face One of His Accusers While in Prison
Accuser, Chloe Goins has won her appeal to depose Bill Cosby. Cosby will be forced to face her while in Prison.
Bill Cosby is currently in jail after being found guilty for sexual assault. However, his legal troubles continue as the fallen TV icon may have to face off against another one of his accusers.
The accuser, Chloe Goins filed a motion to depose Cosby while he is behind bars. Now it seems the former television icon will face Goins in person.
Now, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lawrence Cho granted the motion to depose him on Wednesday, February 27. However, he denied her additional request for an extra $5,000 sanction on the fallen comic.
Goins, now 28-years-old, works as a model-turned-rapper. Goins claims Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her at a Playboy mansion party in 2008
The former TV dad, however, has adamantly denied the claims. He is currently serving time for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand.
Reports claim Goins and her legal team served Cosby notices back on October 17, 2018. and November 14, 2018. The notices serve as warnings to allow his lawyers time to conduct a deposition on him where he is currently serving his sentence.
The comic's attorneys objected to the notices. They claim the deposition would be "overly burdensome to conduct."
They added that she did not have sufficient evidence to prove the deposition to be "necessary." Following their response, Goins filed a request for an emergency order to compel Cosby's deposition.
However, the ex parte motion was denied. On January 31, 2019, she filed a motion to depose the actor who recently released a statement from prison revealing his lack of remorse and pride.
Her motion stated she intends on doing so on April 22 and April 23. Reports claim she hopes to capture it all on camera, while he remains incarcerated.
Her recent successful. The judge declared in this week's hearing that Goins' motion was "filed within the proper time frame."
