Kristoff St. John's Fiancée Didn't Attend His Memorial Service
On the day of Kristoff St. John’s funeral, his fiancée, Kseniya Mikhaleva posted a heartbreaking message on why she couldn’t attend his funeral.
On Monday, March 4, a month after a friend found Kristoff’s body at his Woodland Hills home in Los Angeles, his funeral got held at Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Westlake Village, California.
Laid to rest next to his son Julian who died in November 2014 of suicide, those who were close to Kristoff feel he died from a broken heart following his son’s death.
Mourning the loss of “The Young and the Restless” star he left behind his two daughters Lola and Paris, his ex-wife Allana Nadal, family, and his fiancée Kseniya Mikhaleva. The couple got engaged last August and had many plans for their future, and she couldn’t even say goodbye.
Living in Moscow, Kseniya applied for an emergency visa after Kristoff’s death, but it got denied. Heartbroken that she is unable “to say goodbye to him and put flowers on his grave,” the Russian model wrote about how “scary and painful” it is not able to attend the funeral and be with her “loved one and his family on his last journey to eternal peace.”
In her post, Kseniya also thanked the people who inspired Kristoff, the people “for whom he played, people who inspired him to work and live.”
She spoke of how Kristoff taught her to love, and how to be loved, how he showed her how to bring out the best in others and to help them. But also just showing others how to be a good human being.
Now that Kristoff is gone she has no idea what to do, the couple planned on having their wedding this year along with so many other things they wanted for their life together. With it being an emotionally trying day, her thoughts are foremost with Kristoff’s daughters, family, and friends as they laid him to rest.
Kseniya also took the opportunity to make it clear that she never opened funds, or plan to open any funds after she saw several funds claiming she had. She also added that any fund claiming she began it “was/is fake.”
To date, an official cause of death for the 52-year-old actor had not been released but his ex, Mia St. John spoke with Kristoff shortly before his death.
She described him as drinking and depressed while he spoke of his dead son like he is still alive, “He said, 'Julian is at the door I gotta get the door,'" while a disorientated sounding Kristoff also said that “he didn’t want to be here anymore.”
Mia now finds solace in that last conversation she had with Kristoff and elaborated:
"When he told me that Julian came to the door and I knew that my son came and took him home. And that was my only comfort."
After news of Kristoff’s death broke, Steve Harvey paid tribute to the late and great person and actor. He shared never before seen footage of Kristoff’s final interview before his passing.
