Unaware his owner has passed on, a loyal Labrador named Toto has been lying outside a hospital in Argentina for over seven days, waiting for his human best friend to come back.

According to reports, the six-year-old pooch remained outside the door of Pablo Soria Hospital in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy in Argentina for more than a week. The cause of his owner's death is not known.

Toto's owner reportedly asked his relatives to bring the dog to the hospital because he wants to say one final farewell.

However, when he passed away, his relatives forgot to take Toto away. The poor dog has stayed at the doorway of the hospital sitting tight for his late master.

SEEKING A NEW HOME

A member of a local animal protection organization said that they are currently searching for a new owner for Toto.

The person who's willing to adopt him should have a closed house since there's a possibility that the dog would return to the hospital to wait for his owner again.

Toto, who is respectful and is welcoming to all those who stroke him, has been treated by a vet. The canine needs to undergo a medical procedure on one of his paws and will also be castrated.

MAN'S BEST FRIEND

There's a reason we call the dogs man's best friend. They are handing out pure love and asking literally nothing in return.

In Japan, a dog named Hachiko became renowned for meeting his master each day at a railroad station. Nearly a decade after his owner's passing, he kept on making the journey.

Another loyal dog, Sadie, was left crushed when her closest companion, Andy Beaulieu, succumbed to a heart attack.

The 13-year-old Border collie-Dalmatian-shepherd mix was in so much sadness that she didn't eat for ten days.

During the memorial service, people were moved when Sadie stood to see her human best friend once and for all.
