Dallas Man Taken into Custody after Video Shows Him Repeatedly Punching Black Woman in Parking Lot
Austin Shuffield, a 30-year-old bartender from Dallas, was captured on video violently assaulting a young Black woman after she allegedly blocked his car.
The victim was 24-year-old L’Daijohnique Lee. According to her statement, the man’s anger started after she was driving the opposite way down a one-way street and blocked his path.
Lee admitted that even though she knew it was a one-way street, she stopped at the corner to let her friend out, knowing it wouldn’t take long.

THE ASSAULT
Shuffield asked the lady to move her car and, once she did, the man approached Lee’s vehicle and took a photo of the license plate. At that point, Shuffield was brandishing a gun so as to intimidate Lee.
The woman was not afraid, though, as she told the man to step back or get maced. In the video of the incident, which depicts violence, Shuffield appears with a gun in his hand and Lee calls 911.

THE OUTCOME
However, the man hits Lee’s phone to the ground, to which the woman reacts by punching him in the face. Shuffield lost control and started punching Lee very violently in the face and upper-body area.
Even though Lee sustained minor physical injuries, she said he made her suffer emotional trauma. About the video, she admitted that it makes her cry as it showed that all she could do was try to protect herself.

THE CHARGES
Thankfully, police arrested Shuffield, and he is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault causing bodily injury, public drunkenness, and interference with an emergency call.
Lee’s attorney pointed out that the man should also face felony assault and hate-crime charges because, according to the victim, Shuffield also launched into a full-blown racist tirade before punching her.
Shuffield, who was booked into the Dallas County Jail on March 20, was released on $2,000 bond on March 22. Sadly, it is not the first time that a man has punched a woman on the street.
ANOTHER MAN HITTING WOMEN
In another disturbing video, a muscled man appears to be pummeling two young women in the street in front of a cheering crowd reportedly over a hot dog.
The assailant started bullying the vendor when they charged him $6 for the meal. The man allegedly bragged, “I own the streets of LA.” Two women tried to help, but the man pushed and punched them.
