Four months after she passed away, her son Christian Combs has opened up about how he came to terms with his mother's loss.

“One thing I never really told anybody right when I found out the news…I was shocked I didn’t know what to do. My whole world stopped. I was really down.”

THE DEATH OF HIS MOTHER BROKE CHRISTIAN COMBS

Christian, 20, is Porter's son with singer/ songwriter Sean "Diddy" Combs with who she had a relationship from 1994 to 2007. The couple also shared 11-year-old twins, D'Lila Star, and Jessie James.

Christian confessed that his mother's sudden and unexpected death left him anchorless, and deeply depressed.

A SONG ON THE RADIO

Christian revealed that one day on his way to the airport a song he's recorded with Chris Brown, "Love You Better" came on the radio. He was overcome by a sense of tranquility and is sure it was a message from his mother:

“I know that’s her talking to me, making sure I know everything is OK. That just made me feel that there’s still faith and I have to keep pushing.”

After her death, it was discovered that Porter, 47, had been unknowingly battling with lobar pneumonia.

DIDDY'S TRIBUTE TO KIM PORTER

Diddy, who has taken on the heartbreaking task of reconciling his two young daughters to the untimely death of their mother, posted a touching tribute to Porter on his Instagram account:

“They do everything like you.They take care of me and I take care of them Thank you for best family a man could ask for @ladykp I SALUTE YOU QUEEN. YOU DID A GREAT JOB RAISING US INCLUDING ME. THE BABIES LOOK LIKE you AND ACT LIKE YOU. DOWN TO THERE MANNERISM they’re you.”

KIM PORTER'S UNEXPECTED DEATH

The former model and actress was thought to be in good health, and suffering from the seasonal flu in the last weeks of her life.

After her death, it was discovered that Porter, 47, had been unknowingly battling with lobar pneumonia.

KIM PORTER'S CELEBRITY SEND-OFF

Kim Porter was laid to rest in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia and her funeral was attended by many celebrities.

Among the more than 2,500 people present to pay their respects were Russell Simmons, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Kim and Mase.

Faith Evans, Yolanda Adams and the Spencer High School All Class Reunion Choir rendered musical tributes in her honor.

Sean Combs and her oldest son Quincy spoke movingly about the mother of 4. Kim Porter shares three children with Combs, and they were close friends even after their romantic relationship ended.
