Donald Trump Jr Doesn't Exclude Himself from Presidential Race: 'I Definitely Enjoy the Fight'
POTUS’ eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., is not closing the door on running for office one day, saying, “I never want to rule it out.”
During a recent interview, the younger Trump said,
“My father decided to get into politics at 68. I’m 41, I’ve got plenty of time.”
Donald Jr. has been busy running the Trump Organization with his brother Eric, but he is also becoming a fast favorite in the Republican Party as he helps promote his father’s policies. He shares,
“If I can be helpful and I can be a powerful voice for that that’s my primary focus.”
He added,
“I definitely like being out there, and I love being able to see the impact and the difference that it makes on these people’s lives that I get to see all over the country.”
Donald Jr. is following in his father’s footsteps of using his status and social media voice boldly and loudly. While the family insists they keep their business separate from their family’s highly political involvement, Donald Jr. involves himself in his father’s political circle by both his availability to the media, as well as privately representing his father through his travels and deals, which are noticeably unethical.
Trump Jr.’s private life also seems to be inspired by his thrice-married father. His wife of almost thirteen years, Vanessa filed for divorce this month. Some reports claim that their marriage was significantly affected by the spotlight of being part of the first family, and his “unhinged” tweets did not help either.
In a joint statement, the couple shared,
“We have five beautiful children together, and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time.”
