Nipsey Hussle didn't die instantly after he was shot in front of his store. According to his death certificate, he was still alive for 35 minutes before he was pronounced dead in the hospital.

More than a week after he was fatally shot, Nipsey Hussle’s death certificate is out with details surrounding his murder.

According to the document obtained by TMZ, Hussle died of gunshot wounds in his head and torso and was pronounced dead 35 minutes later.

It was previously reported that the 33-year-old rapper was standing outside his Marathon Clothing Company in Los Angeles when his shooter, later identified as Eric Holder, walked up to him and shot him several times. Two of Hussle’s friends who were with him at the time tried to flee but were also shot. They survived with injuries.

Hussle’s brother, Samiel Asghedom rushed to the scene shortly after receiving a call about the shooting. He managed to take Hussle to the hospital where the artist was pronounced dead shortly after.

According to his death certificate, Nipsey was an artist and entrepreneur by occupation who worked in entertainment and real estate industries. He was single at the time of his death noted at 3:55 pm on March 31.

Footage of the incident taken from a surveillance camera placed Holder as his shooter. He was seen firing at Hussle three times before kicking his body and fleeing in a waiting vehicle.

Holder appeared in court on Thursday, two days after his April 2 arrest together with his lawyer, Chris Darden who famously prosecuted O.J. Simpson. Darden entered a not guilty plea for his client who was charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. A $5 million bail was set for his release.

The motive for the shooting has yet to come to light but it was believed Holder and Hussle had an altercation about a personal dispute earlier that day. Both are members of gangs though authorities doubt the shooting was gang-related.

Hussle was reportedly due to sit down with the police to discuss gang warfare before his death. He was working towards minimizing violence in the neighborhood.

Holder is set to appear in another hearing on May 10. By then, it’s likely there more details about Hussle’s murder will be revealed.

Meanwhile, Hussle's funeral is scheduled on April 11 and will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. His remains will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
