Husband and Wife Stunned by Each Other after Drastic Makeover

“Today” recently launched a new version of Ambush Makeover with Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb as co-hosts. The show's team of style experts will pick two participants for their head-to-toe transformations every Thursday.

This week, the makeover mission began with style expert Jill Martin and celebrity hairstylist Louis Licari who worked their magic on husband and wife Keith and Kelly Moore from Wichita, Kansas. The couple was flown to New York while Jill and Louis gave them a total transformation.

Kelly had just recently lost more than 40 pounds.

To celebrate the weight loss, she was looking for a fresh new look for both herself and her husband and said: “We want to look good on the outside as we now feel on the inside.”

Her husband Keith had also begun pursuing a healthier lifestyle and already feels more energized to care for their grandson. Having just turned 60 years old, he was looking forward to a stylish new look.

The couple’s new look was revealed during the show to their daughter who stood by excitedly with blindfolds on while waiting for her parents to come out. Her reaction was beyond priceless as she saw both her parents’ looking not just very gorgeous but happy as well.

But the highlight of the show was seeing how both Kelly and Keith reacted—what a wonderful sight to see how pleasantly surprised they were by each others’ makeovers!

Kelly looked absolutely stunning with her new hair and make-up and her wardrobe included skinny ankle jeans, classic black long scoop tank, and suede grommet detailed jacket. She accessorized with statement earrings, a pendant, and pumps to finish off her look.

Keith went through quite a transformation too, his hair now cut short and groomed. He looked handsome sporting a classic suit jacket over a smart white oxford and dark jeans.

But makeovers aren’t just for vanity’s sake—they can actually improve one’s mental health. A beauty routine has been said to offer a creative, fun outlet for self-expression and this creative aspect of makeup has been proven to be a natural mood-booster.
