Marie Osmond Apologizes to Fans for Canceling Her Latest Show
Marie Olive Osmond, a renowned singer, and TV personality took to Instagram as she apologized to her fans for not being available for her most recent show through a soul-stirring post.
The 59-year-old performer explained through the media post that “allergies attacked” her and that resulted in her absence from the widely-anticipated show.
Marie lamented:
"On Wednesday, allergies attacked me and I lost my voice so I couldn’t do the show."
She further explained,
“So many from our audiences travel from all over the world to see us perform @FlamingoVegas, so when I can’t perform for them, it breaks my heart.”
The entertainer also joked in her lengthy caption about her brother’s reliance on her, when she said:
“To all of you who came to the Wednesday show and only got to see Donny on stage, I know.... #HeNeedsMe!!!”
The concert slated to hold on Wednesday, April 10 in the city of Las Vegas, was supposed to feature a performance of Marie alongside her elder brother and partner Donny Osmond. Donny, 61, was left with no other choice than to perform alone that night.
Fans will probably heave a sigh of relief when they remember that they still have a few months to attend Donny and Marie’s amazing shows before the duo’s residency in Las Vegas comes to an end.
The news that Donny and Marie are going to finally end their 11-year-old residency at the Flamingo Resort in the Entertainment Capital of the World came as a shock to most of their supporters.
Donny and Marie announced the sad news on their respective Instagram pages but didn’t fail to appreciate and encourage the fans that stood with them throughout their fascinating journey.
Donny also used his Instagram page as a platform to update his fans on his younger brother’s (Jimmy Osmond) health status via an adorable throwback picture. Donny shared the photo on Jimmy’s birthday as he honored his younger brother for always being an inspiration.
Jimmy, who is also an entertainer, reportedly had a stroke early this year as he was preparing for his role as “Captain Hook” in a “Peter Pan” play in England. He was then rushed to a hospital where he was diagnosed, and his treatment began.
Donny revealed in the caption of his uplifting post that Jimmy’s recovery has been kind of difficult even though he maintains a positive mindset. The musical veteran ended his write up with a charming birthday wish for his younger sibling.
