Remember Dwayne Wayne from 'A Different World'? He's in a 14-Year Relationship but Not yet Married

Actor Kadeem Hardison, best known as Dwayne Wayne from “A Different World,” has been in a relationship with Tana Roller for 14 years and they have not tied the knot yet.

Even though Kadeem’s character in the previously mentioned show was in love with Jasmine Guy’s persona, Whitley Gilbert, the man and actress Cree Summer, who played Freddie, the goofy "Spelman" student in “A Different World,” dated for a while in real life.

During an interview, the actor said that working with Cree didn’t make things awkward and that he understood he had a “work wife and a home wife. But your home wife also happens to work with you.”

About a year after the actor and Cree started dating, they split, but remained good friends. Now, Kadeem has been in a relationship for 14 years with a woman who is very similar to Cree. Her name is Tana Roller.

Even though she is a production designer and photographer in Los Angeles, which has nothing to do with Cree’s career, Tana is a free-spirited, earthy, Bohemian woman, something very similar to Kadeem ex-girlfriend.

Cree and Tana are not the only women that Kadeem has been with. He married singer and actress Chanté Moore in 1997 and got divorced in 2000. One year before tying the knot, the couple had a daughter named Sophia.

A few years ago, Kadeem and Chanté were rumored to be trying to get back together, but the actress herself took her time to shut down those rumors saying that the actor was “her baby” but that she didn’t want to be “his girl.”

“He appreciates for who I was and who I am, and we grew together that’s what friendship is about whether or not we’re married or lovers or whatever the case is, you have to know who you’re with and he and I spent a lot of time together,” she added.

Both Chanté and Cree moved on already. The former remarried in 2002 to Kenny Lattimore and welcomed a son together before they divorced in 2011. The latter, on the other hand, married Angelo Pullen in 2000 and have two children together.

In Kadeem’s case, he and Tana have not gotten married or have a child. Her Instagram posts prove that they are in love with each other, though.
