Hoda Kotb Posts 1st Family Picture with New Baby & Boyfriend at Easter Celebration
Hoda Kotb is thrilled to share the first photo of her entire family with its new addition of a second baby girl.
The "Today" co-host spread joy on April 22, Easter Sunday, by giving fans a precious peek at her new daughter as her father fed her through a baby bottle. The photos are found below.
Little Haley Joy was also featured in the sweet family shot. She, her mother, and her father Joel Schiffman all smiled for the camera. Kotb would share another photo featuring her new baby girl, Hope Catherine, with another family member.
She captioned the first photo, "This is us, xo." A photo of her mother feeding the baby soon followed and she captioned it, "This makes me so happy... my mom filled with Hope."
Kotb shared the big news of her second adoption when she called into the "Today Show" on Tuesday, April 16. It came two years after her first adoption of Haley Joy in 2017.
The 54-year-old said:
“Hi, guys! It’s a girl! It’s a girl! And her name is Hope. I'm feeding her, and I can't believe it. I'm so happy she's here!"
Kotb revealed that Haley was thrilled to be a big sister to her new sibling, as was her father who cried when she arrived. Kotb also spoke about the name she chose, how Hope came from her desire to have a second child and Catherine from her best friend's daughter.
The "Today Show" hosts were also overwhelmed by the news and had to wipe away tears of happiness for their fellow personality. Of course, they all supported her as did hundreds of fans online.
Kotb gave followers a hint of something to come on her page one day prior to posting the photos. She put up a post with the text, "There is always hope." Two days before, she shared the first picture of Hope featuring just her and her daughter with the new girl in the family.
The day before the announcement, Kotb also put up a teaser post on her page with a picture of clouds and the message, "Choose hope" above them. By the next day, the mystery was uncovered. Congratulations to her and her partner on their newest addition.
