Pink Shares How Mom-Shaming Made Her Decide Not to Share Intimate Family Moments Online

Alecia Moore, popularly known as Pink revealed that she would no longer share family moments on social media after being trolled for a recent post.

The 39-year-old said this during her time on Monday’s episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

She explained that her decision was as a result of a picture she posted on Instagram where her 7-year-old daughter Willow, and 2-year-old son Jameson, were seen interacting with a Pelican that found its way into their house. But the reason for the troll was because Jameson had his nappy off.

The "What About Us" singer spoke about how the comments made her cry and how proud she is of her kids. In her words;

“People went as far as saying someone should call child services because he didn’t have a diaper on and how dare I. Some of the nastiest things, I cried so hard after that because I like to share my family. It’s my proudest moment. I’m prouder of my kids than anything I’ve done in my whole life.”

She also made it clear that she is in favor of constructive feedbacks and she showed this when a fan called her attention to the meaning of the word "gypsy."Alecia said,

“Someone else taught me that the word ‘gypsy’ is derogatory and I’m not a person who uses derogatory language. I wrote back to them, ‘Thank you so much for being so kind and educating me. I’m editing it, I’m taking it down, and that word will never come out of my mouth again.’ There’s a way to do things!”

She added,

“I understand people saying, ‘You need to be more careful, you are in the public eye, you should have thought of that.' They’re right, but there’s a nice way to say that.”

She then concluded that she wouldn’t share pictures of them anymore for them to live their best lives, especially her daughter.

The mother of two took down the post on Instagram and put up another one where she blanked out Jameson’s nude part in the picture. She poured out her heart and hit out at commenters who criticized her. The post read;

“There’s something seriously wrong with a lot of you out there. Going off about my baby’s penis? About circumcision??? Are you for real? As any normal mother at the beach, I didn’t even notice he took off his swim diaper. I deleted it because you’re all f$&king disgusting. And now I’m turning off my comments and shaking my head at the state of social media and keyboard warriors.”

This is not the first time the "Walk Me Home" singer has been trolled about her parenting methods. On one of her recent Instagram post which pictured her cooking dinner, she had Jameson in a baby carrier on her chest, and this got a lot of people talking.
