Here's What It Means When Some People Add a Bar of Soap Under Their Sheets
Putting a bar soap under the sheets can help relieve leg cramps.
A study has been conducted pointing to the medical effect of putting a bar of soap under the sheet, wrote Dr. Tara Berman on Cityslim.

Another physician, Dr. Ough, believed that it was the scent of the oil in the soap that relieved the pain in leg muscles.
According to Dr. Berman, a case report had been published from the Anesthesiology Department in Wisconsin about treating pain associated with fibromyalgia by using a soap-scented oil skin patch.
A physician named Dr. Gott claimed to have successfully treated patients by advising them to sleep with a bar of soap between their legs. He shared this experience in a newspaper column, writing that a skin patch made of crushed bar soap relieved leg muscle cramping and pain in 14 patients.

This simple home remedy is proven effective for restless leg syndrome and leg cramps, which almost 50 percent of people report they suffer from, according to Shared.
THE SCENT DOES IT
Another physician, Dr. Ough, believed that it was the scent of the oil in the soap that relieved the pain in leg muscles.
“This would make sense, given my patients' reports on relief from just having the soap in the bed and not even touching their legs, as the only volatile property of the soap that could diffuse through the sheets is its scent,” wrote Dr. Berman.

In his experiment, Dr. Ough created skin patches with a soap-scented oil, rather than the bar soap itself, and used it to treat 14 patients experiencing severe pain.
The experiment proved effective, with all patients reporting initial pain relief within 1 hour of application and three patients reporting nearly complete pain relief. They also claimed that they were able to have a more restful sleep.
ANOTHER HOME REMEDY
Speaking of sleep, another home remedy has gained popularity for helping many people to fall asleep faster.
The remedy only needs cinnamon, honey, and milk. More specifically, this remedy needs a teaspoon of raw, organic honey; a teaspoon of cinnamon; and 8 ounces of milk.

It involves simple steps: First, add the milk in a saucepan, and heat it; then, remove it from the fire and add the honey and cinnamon; stir well. One needs to drink this concoction an hour before bedtime.
The cinnamon prepares the body for a restful sleep as it boosts blood circulation and stabilizes blood glucose levels.
