Kelly Clarkson 'May Have Broken down in Tears After the Show from Pain'

Kelly Clarkson is one tough lady! Reports claim the star had been in severe pain throughout the BMA's on Wednesday but showed no signs of it during her stunning performance and flawless hosting of the event.

Singer Kelly Clarkson hosted the 2019 Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday. Hours after the show the star was hospitalized for an appendectomy.

When the news of her hospitalization broke, Clarkson took to Twitter to explain the situation. She revealed she was in excruciating pain throughout the entire show.

Her tweet was a response to a fan who tweeted about her medley performance. The fan, Jarett Wieselman, also mentioned and admired that Clarkson had been in pain during the performance.

Jarett wrote, "Kelly Clarkson has been suffering from appendicitis all week & had her appendix removed this morning — yet last night she flawlessly hosted an award show and sang two songs without showing any sign of discomfort. How could you do anything BUT STAN?!?"

Clarkson made it clear that she is a very professional performer. Needless to say, Clarkson's fans and fellow musicians were impressed at her dedication.

"Wow, you are superhuman! glad you're feeling better! xoxo," tweeted Dan + Shay.

One stunned fan tweeted, "omg how on earth?!? When I had appendicitis, I felt like death and could hardly walk. Wow, you’re so strong!!"

Another fan was blown away with how flawlessly Clarkson performed and the quality of her performance. The simply could not believe she was sick the entire show.

"So let me get this straight. While you were melting faces and busting guts with your sweet vocals, your actual gut was busted??! Wow! What a pro!" tweeted an awestruck fan.

It remains unclear if Clarkson will return to film "The Voice" on Monday. However, many feel the "American Idol" alum deserves to take a break while she recovers.

The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
