First Lady’s Birthday Gifts: What Presents Trump Usually Gives Melania

President Trump shoulders the responsibility of an entire country, but despite this fact, he still finds time to pick a present for the First Lady on her birthday.

When a woman is married to a billionaire, who also happens to be the President of the United States, one expects that her gift will be insanely expensive.

The birthday of Melania Trump, President Trump's First Lady is in a few days, and the gift the billionaire President will give to his wife is an interesting topic for speculators.

If history repeats itself, the First Lady will receive petals, a card, and a private dinner. Last year, Melania celebrated her 48th birthday, which was also her second celebration at the White House. Although she might have expected something from a place other than a florist shop, the mother-of-one got the standard Washington gift.

The day also coincided with President Trump's interview on "Fox and Friends" with Brian Kilmeade. The latter asked the 47th President what he got for his wife for her birthday, and he revealed that although he was too busy to pick something out, he got her a beautiful card and flowers.

The President added that he might get in trouble for the simple gift, but is hopeful of getting forgiven. Trump then suggested that he chose that day for the interview because it was unique, and hoped it would earn him some points with his wife.

As simple as the gifts seem, it is the same with what Michelle Obama received from former President Barack Obama for her birthday that same year. The former First Lady appreciated it and took to Instagram to thank her husband for his thoughtfulness.

The year earlier, which was the soon-to-be 49-year-old first birthday in Washington, not only did she not receive any lavish gift, but, the First Lady spent the day giving back to fellow women.

The former model hosted a luncheon for wives of Senators at the National Gallery of Art. She tweeted about the event describing the women as a "Wonderful group doing great things for our country."

President Trump was equally busy that day, but he sent her birthday wishes on Twitter, accompanied by their picture on inauguration day. The first family later gathered at the White House for a special dinner in her honor.

As Melania's birthday nears, Trump might stick to precedent as he is busier than ever tackling immigration laws and trying to get funding for the wall.
