Tamera Mowry Pays Tribute to Late Niece 6 Months after Mass Shooting
Alaina Housely may be dead, but she will forever live on in our hearts! Tamera Mowry is still struggling with the death of her 18-year-old niece Alaina Housley, who died six months ago in a mass shooting at a bar in California.
Tamera took to Instagram to pay tribute to her niece with a photo of the late 18-year-old and a heartbreaking caption which reads,
“Missing you everyday. I often do a double take at women that remind me of you! The pain of how you were taken from us comes back. I wish you were here to see my children grow, and for us to see the woman you were to become. I’ll have to accept we have a warrior of an angel watching over us now. Love you. #AlainasVoice #MyAngel".
THE MASS SHOOTING THAT CLAIMED ALAINA'S LIFE
Tamera's niece, Alaina Housley was among the 12 victims that lost their lives when a 28-year-old former Marine, Ian David Long, opened fire at The Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks, California. After killing 12 people and leaving about a dozen people injured, the shooter also proceeded to kill himself.
Tamera previously remembered her late niece in December last year, just about a month after her death. She posted her picture on Instagram, and wrote the long and touching caption,
“Yesterday you were supposed to come home,” she wrote on Instagram. “The questions of why consume my mind. But I must hold on to the fact that our Lord is sovereign. The reality of you not being here hits stronger today. I miss your giggles, I miss your smile, I miss the way you would roll your eyes when you heard someone say something crazy. I miss the way you would so gracefully, scoop up Ariah and Aden, and the way you took their hands and walked away to play,” she added.
It is evident that the Housleys' still and will forever miss their beautiful Alaina whose life was cut short alongside eleven others by the unfortunate events that took place on an unfaithful day and so will the world.
Forever rest in peace Alaina!
