Strange Dog Keeps Wandering Into a Woman's Home To Sleep, Then She Finds A Note Around His Neck

Who can resist an animal in need? Definitely not the woman in the story below! She just couldn't help herself when she was confronted by a dog who just needed a quiet place to lay his head.

An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly and smooth long-haired coat that he had a home and was well taken care of.

He calmly came over to me, and I gave him a few pats on his head. Then he followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in a corner and fell asleep.

An hour later, he whined at the door, so I let him out.

The next day, he was back. He greeted me in my yard like an old friend, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall and again slept for about an hour before leaving.

On one of the days, he even arrived with his own blankie. This continued off and on for several weeks. He never accepted any food or drink, all he wanted was a corner to nap in.

Eventually, curious about where the beautiful dog came from, I pinned a note to his collar:

”I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.”

The next day, he arrived for his nap right on time, but with a different note pinned to his collar:

”Thank you and I'm so glad you asked. He lives in a home with six children, two of them under the age of three. He’s desperately trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?”
