The country music star and his Hollywood wife walked down the aisle together over two decades ago, and what they have built since then goes far beyond the stage or screen.

Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley have been married since 2003, and together they have raised two sons, William “Huck” Huckleberry Paisley and Jasper Warren Paisley, almost entirely out of the public eye.

What's more, Kimberly has been deliberate about keeping the boys off social media, which means photos of them are genuinely rare, but a handful have surfaced, and they tell a story worth discovering.

The couple kept their children away from the spotlight and built a long-lasting relationship. Two Words That Have Kept Them Together for 23 Years

The foundation of Brad and Kimberly's marriage is not complicated, at least according to Kimberly. In a recent interview, the "Father of the Bride" actress, 54, passed along a piece of wisdom she had picked up from Jamie Lee Curtis.

"I heard Jamie Lee Curtis say recently, the secret is 'Don't leave.' I thought that was actually brilliant," Kimberly said. "Yeah, just know there's gonna be ups and downs, and don't give up. That's our secret."

She went on to explain that beyond sheer commitment, the couple is intentional about protecting their time together, especially as schedules pull them in different directions.

"We find time, we have to be deliberate about it," she said. "And I mean, we're married 23 years now. And there's times when we're busier and times when we're not. And right now I'm busier, and he's about to start a tour this summer, which will make him busy. But when we have the downtime, we really make the most of it."

Making a relationship last wasn't easy for ordinary people, but it was even harder for stars. The "911: Nashville" actress also revealed that Brad gave her a romantic gift for their 23rd wedding anniversary, which they celebrated on March 15. He wrote her a letter, and the surprise landed because it had been a long time since he had done something like that.

The Surprise Wedding That Started It All

It is a fitting gesture from a man who, by Kimberly's own account, has always had a certain confidence about him when it came to her.

During an April 15 appearance on "Live with Kelly and Mark," Kimberly shared a detail that still makes their origin story feel almost cinematic: Brad first saw and fell in love with her while watching "Father of the Bride" in 1991, 10 years before they met in real life. In fact, he was at that movie theater with someone else!

"But that's also how confident he is," she said to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. "He's, like, watching a movie and he's like, 'Not this girl. That girl on the screen.' And he did it!"

The wedding itself carried that same spirit of doing things their own way. The couple tied the knot in 2003, and guests only found out at the rehearsal dinner that the pre-nuptial gathering was actually the ceremony.

Kimberly actually appeared at the event in a denim coat, holding a ribbon bouquet from her bridal shower. "And then we just changed it out," she recalled. "And I took off the coat, and I had this wedding dress on. And I changed out the bouquet."

Because of the surprise nature of the nuptials, the ceremony skipped some of the usual formalities. Kimberly said everyone was sitting when she came down the aisle, and Brad was chewing gum.

Two Busy Artists Still Had Time for Family

When Kimberly is not talking about her marriage, she is often talking about her kids, though she is careful about how much she shares. She and Brad welcomed their first son, William "Huck" Huckleberry Paisley, on February 22, 2007, and their second, Jasper Warren Paisley, on April 17, 2009.

Becoming a father shifted Brad's world quickly, and by 2011, two years after Jasper's birth, he was talking about parenthood as something that had transformed him from the inside out. Everything from his sleep patterns to his beliefs was brand new.

He also said having a child gave him the feeling of having "your heart go walking around without you," saying it made him more protective of two other human beings and made him feel things more deeply.

That devotion has always included admiration for Kimberly's role at home. Brad has credited her for holding their family together, telling her in March 2021, "You keep our house afloat — seeing you give birth to two kids and raise a third is amazing," jokingly counting himself as that third child.

The boys have also given that care back in their own way. When Kimberly spent nearly two years unable to speak normally due to a partially paralyzed vocal cord, Huck and Jasper stepped up in quiet, practical ways.

"My kids were great cheerleaders for me," she said in December 2024. "At an event, they knew if someone I wanted to talk to was walking away and I couldn't get them, and they'd get them for me. They're used to assisting me, which is really sweet."

So, let's meet their fantastic two sons who have changed their lives!

The Older Son Who Turned a Passion for Storytelling Into Theater

Huck has largely grown up away from cameras, and Kimberly has kept it that way on purpose. For his 15th birthday in 2022, she posted a throwback photo of herself heavily pregnant with him rather than share his face, writing about the moment just before he arrived and everything she did not yet know about who he would become.

"February 22nd, 2007. Here I am, trying to get Huck to want to come out, after my water broke 24+ hours earlier, just like in the movies. We didn't know anything about him yet-not even his name," she wrote.

She continued, "But in this pic, I didn't know yet how much he'd make us laugh, how gorgeous and interesting his art would be, how brave and kind his heart is. Happy 15th birthday Huck!! We love you so!! ❤️❤️."

And although his face had mostly been hidden for years, Brad and Kimberly had shared bits of his personality. As a baby, Kimberly called him a "happy Buddha" who was happy just taking things in, while Brad said there was "nothing delicate about him."

By age two, Brad said Huck was not a laid-back kid. He described him as animated, fiery, dramatic, and ready to go from the moment he woke up.

As a toddler, Huck also showed an early love for music. Brad once shared that one of the greatest questions his son had asked was, "Mommy, does Jesus play the banjo?"

By the time he was a teenager, his interests had grown into something more theatrical. A 2024 post from Nashville children's theater company Theater Bug introduced him as their 2023/24 Theater Bug Playground Playwright.

Each year, the program supports one young writer by giving them the chance to develop a new play and see it produced live on stage. As the Playground Playwright, Huck received mentorship through development, rewrites, casting, rehearsal, and production.

That's how people online got a good look at him for what was most likely the first time. The account posted a graphic, showing his photo on one side, the title of his play beside it, and more information about him at the bottom. Those details included his interests in music, traveling, and omelets.

His play "Megg the Egg" later earned a National Young Arts Award. A year later, another rare photo was shared by the same account for another one of his plays, "Keys," in a Facebook post.

But a few more images have surfaced since, thanks to a friend who wanted to celebrate his birthday this year.

And it looks like the 19-year-old is spreading his wings. He started college in 2025, and his parents spoke about it to Parade last September.

Kimberly revealed that when he was younger, he had written her a note asking her to come visit him in college someday, and she planned to take that note with her when she visited his dorm.

Huck's college major has not been publicly revealed, but his theater work suggests that playwriting is more than a passing interest. After growing up mostly outside the spotlight, he now appears to be building a creative identity through the stage rather than through his parents' fame.

The Younger Son Following the Same Creative Path

When Jasper was born, he made a dramatic entrance in his own quiet way. He weighed 9 lbs., 10 oz., arrived 12 days late, and was given the middle name Warren in honor of Brad's grandfather, the man who gave the country artist his first guitar and encouraged him to pursue music.

His first name had a softer, more unexpected origin. Kimberly had dreamed they had a little boy named Jasper, and the name stayed with them.

Even before Jasper arrived, his place in the family was already being felt. When Kimberly was expecting him, Huck helped deliver the happy news to Brad in a sweet way, though he later joked about warning his older son that life was about to get complicated for both of them.

Once Jasper was old enough for his personality to show, Brad could see just how different his two boys were.

"The first child, his name is Huck, is a lot like me. He shares my disposition and focuses on a lot of things," Brad said in 2010. "Then the second child is the opposite of Huck ... which I think happens a lot. In some way he's becoming my favorite just by the fact that he's not like me."

Kimberly later gave fans a careful glimpse of that personality while still protecting Jasper's privacy. For his 13th birthday in 2022, she shared an Instagram photo of herself at 13 instead of posting her son's face.

"This is as close to a picture of Jasper as I'm gonna share," she wrote and explained that she saw a lot of his face in hers and remembered being told when he was born that his 13th birthday would fall on Easter.

The actress went on to describe the qualities that made him stand out at home. "Jasper is such a light in our family, wise and patient beyond his years, dryly funny and passionate about good things," she wrote.

That passion showed up in small, telling ways. One of his birthday gifts was a bug trap, because when there was a bug in the house, he wanted to catch it and take it outside rather than have anyone squash it. Jasper also apparently likes cheetahs and Lego.

This love of animals later led to one of Brad's more memorable parenting stories. In 2021, Brad shared that he performed a small procedure on one of Jasper's pufferfish after the fish began losing weight.

The country artist researched the issue and even consulted a friend who was a brain surgeon about steady hands before clipping the fish's beak. "I clipped it and thought I killed him, but he made it!" he said.

That sensitivity and creativity now seem to be showing up in another part of Jasper's life. Like his older brother, he has become connected to the world of theater.

This past January, The Theater Bug featured Jasper in its meet-the-playwrights segment, uploading a rare photograph of him. The organization introduced him as one of the creators participating in their Ten Minute Play Festival.

They also announced that audiences could catch his production, "The Collected Works of Lorenzo Marsico", on February 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. at Riverside Revival Nashville.

The graphic posted alongside this information shared more details about Jasper, including that he had written more plays for Theater Bug and that he loves self-expression.

Unlike his brother, pictures of Jasper are even rarer to find. Still, after years of being shielded from the spotlight, he and Huck are now finding their voices on stage and growing into themselves as they enter adulthood.

Through it all, Brad and Kimberly remain right by their side, proving that no matter how busy their own careers get, family always comes first.
