Chris Stapleton Becomes a Father for the Fifth Time a Year after Welcoming Twins
Chris Stapleton and his wife welcomed their fifth child on Sunday, making it just in time to have "the most perfect Mother's Day."
Morgane Stapleton shared a picture of the newborn's tiny hand holding onto her finger on Sunday. The post is found below.
The little tot wore a striped white and mustard onesie in the photo and appeared to be laying down. Morgan's painted nails were also in the shot.
In the caption, she wrote:
"The most perfect Mother’s day...I wish all you Mama’s the happiest of days today!"
Her supporters wished her a Happy Mother's Day in return. They're still waiting to learn the new baby's gender.
During an interview at the 2019 Grammy Awards, Chris and Morgan revealed that they were thinking of waiting until the baby was born to learn its gender.
They made the announcement they were expecting back in November 2018, just seven months after welcoming twin boys, Macon and Samuel, in April on Chris' birthday.
According to The Blast, Chris told the crowd at his Madison Squard Garden concert, "Some of you may know that we have four children. Now there's four for us, but we're going to make it five!"
The couple's two older children, a boy and a girl, are aged eight and six respectively. None of the kids' names have been revealed to the public as of yet.
After the birth of the twins, however, Chris took to Instagram to announce his joy. He wrote:
"We're so grateful to finally be home with our sweet family. We would like to say a special thank you to all the incredible nurses & doctors at Centennial Women's & Children's Hospital in Nashville. At more than a month early, we had a week-long stay in the NICU & the incredible people there kept our boys healthy & happy."
Due to the twins' early arrival, Chris was forced to miss the 2018 American Country Music Awards, where he was to accept some awards. Host Reba McEntire informed viewers of the reason in a comedic way, saying: "We just found out that those little rascals came a little bit early. Hot off the press!"
Our congratulations go out to Chris and Morgane as they welcome their fifth child. We hope that the child is in good health and wish Morgane a belated Happy Mother's Day.
