Julia Roberts Shared a Never-Before-Seen Photo of Her Mom
"Pretty Woman’s" main character recently shared a never before seen photo of her mother and now we know from where she inherited so much beauty.
It seems that Julia Roberts simply won the genetic prize thanks to her mother Betty Lou, who besides being one of the greatest sources of inspiration and wisdom in her life, is from whom she inherited her great genes.
Despite being one of the most famous women on the big screen, Julia Roberts has managed to keep her family life away from the spotlight. The feat has not been easy, but her children don’t monopolize the covers of magazines and little is known of her personal life.
However, now she was the one who opened a small window of her life to show an image of her beautiful mom despite the pain she feels remembering that she can’t go to hug her and ask for advice since Betty left this world.
On February 19, 2015, Julia Roberts suffered a serious emotional blow when she learned of her mother's death. Betty Lou Motes died at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica after fighting against lung cancer that was detected in 2013.
The woman, aged 80, had to endure the suffering of seeing one of her daughters die due to an overdose, something that negatively impacted her mood and didn’t help her health improve.
It is striking that Betty Lou died just ten days after the first anniversary of the death of Nancy. During that year, Julia had turned to her mother with all possible attention and even took her to live with her to the mansion that the actress has in Malibu.
In an interview with Daily Mail, the actress from "Eat, Pray, Love" admitted that although it has been 4 years since her death, she still thinks about her mother all the time and that her children talk a lot about her.
On Mother's Day, Julia decided to make a small tribute in honor of Betty and shared that black and white photo never seen before of the matriarch of the family. Julia subtitled the image with a simple "mom."
The fans and followers of Julia could not ignore what this special day means to the Golden Globe-winning actress. One of them, @wanderlustvintagetrailers even posted a short message in the picture that says "Good genes, naturally".
It doesn’t matter if you are one of the best-paid actresses of all times, or if you have your own family and children. When Mother’s Day comes, you always miss your mom.
