Meghan Markle’s ‘Most Honest Emotion’ in Her First Photo with Baby Archie, According to a Body Language Expert
The world rejoiced and awed as baby Sussex made an appearance with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during a photocall at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 8. Body language expert analyzed Meghan as she was expressing her most honest emotions.
The royal couple shared the auspicious news on 6 May via their Instagram account they established on 2 April. The proud parents posted, “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.”
“The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thanks members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”
The royal couple strayed from royal protocol as they waited a couple of days before showing their baby to the world unlike Kate Middleton and Princess Diana did. The new heir made their debut on the hospital stairs in the past but the Harry-Meghan duo may have set a new tradition here.
The change in protocol and attire made way for a wave of comparisons of pictures and they display more than just faces. The pictures are analyzed by body language experts and have noted many emotions flying around.
During the photocall, the Patti Wood, body language expert and author of "Snap: Making the Most of First Impressions, Body Language, and Charisma," noticed that Meghan was showing signs of physical discomfort but she held herself with grace.
“If you look at Meghan's feet, her toes are together and there's arcing around the feet. The reason that's striking is because that's always the most honest emotion. That’s not how she usually stands, but it makes perfect sense because she just had a baby a few days ago," Wood said.
Futher sharing her observation, she said: "The rest of her is so happy and so composed you’d have difficulty knowing she just went through this big event. It's just the sweet little tell in the feet of this otherwise beautifully-composed and happy woman," It looks like a spring day and it’s her wedding—she's glowing—but she just had a baby and she’s not super comfortable."
The author didn’t stop there! Upon further analysis of both Meghan and Harry’s body language, wood exclaimed that their feelings towards themselves and baby Sussex are getting stronger. The way that the couple supports each other while not being able to take their eyes off of each other or their child shows compassion as well as an increased maturity.
The couple seems to be glowing with all the positive energy and excitement of having a child. We assume that the cutest parents will have a great time raising their little bundle of joy and we are just at the doorstep of many ‘Awww’ moments.
