Kim Kardashian Introduces Newborn Son & Reveals His Unique Name (Photo)

KIm Kardashian introduced her newborn son to the world with the first glimpse of his face accompanied by the introduction of his unique name that earned mixed reactions.

The newest addition to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s family has just made his online debut. On Friday, Kim shared the first photo of her brand new son and likewise revealed his special name.

MEET THE LATEST KARDASHIAN-WEST

Meet Psalm West who arrived in time for Mother's Day and looked adorable sleeping in his crib in the photo his mother shared. Kim took to her Twitter to post a screenshot of a text conversation with Kanye which revealed her newborn’s lovely image. The message that accompanied it read,

“Beautiful Mother’s Day

With the arrival of our fourth child

We are blessed beyond words

We have everything we need”

The famous reality show couple welcomed Psalm on May 9 via surrogate, just like his older sister, Chicago who turned one in January. Kim even gushed about how much her youngest looked so much like Chi.

“He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her,” she wrote on Twitter the day after Psalm was born.

Kim previously told Jimmy Kimmel she wanted an Armenian name but admitted struggling to find one that called to her.

Psalm completes the West’s family of six which also includes his older sister, North, 5, and brother, Saint, 3. North is reportedly the most excited to welcome her youngest brother.

It’s unclear how the Hebrew name, Psalm came into the picture but we’re guessing it had to do with Kanye’s recent involvement in church.

THE STORY BEHIND HIS NAME

Fans had a field day with the newborn’s name which means “song.” Kim previously told Jimmy Kimmel she wanted an Armenian name but admitted struggling to find one that called to her.

She also considered naming her son after her brother, Rob, who shares his name with their father, Robert Kardashian. Rob even gave Kim his blessing. However, she had reservations because it veered away from her other children’s names.

Many were baffled by the choice but Twitter user Janelle joked, “At least they didn’t name the baby Deuteronomy.”

It’s unclear how the Hebrew name, Psalm came into the picture but we’re guessing it had to do with Kanye’s recent involvement in church. The Wests have been holding Sunday Service since January and Psalms is a book from the bible.

MIXED REACTIONS

The comments followed shortly after the announcement of the youngest West’s name, which, according to Baby Center is the 2,907 most popular name. Many were baffled by the choice but Twitter user Janelle joked, “At least they didn’t name the baby Deuteronomy.”
